Uplifting Events, with More to Come!

What a beautiful time the last nine days have been! Last Wednesday, the Area Spiritual Companions met and blessed the Retreat with their presence. Marilu Thomas talked about Theology of Place, Thin Spaces we have loved, and what this place inspires us to do—such a gift.  Mary Polce gave a most wonderful gift of blessing with holy water from Lourdes. Thursday evening, we had our first house gathering of Sacred Earth Sacred Soul on zoom, blessed by the leading of Ann Willms. Then Saturday, with the Mindfulness Retreat, and Susan Bauer-Wu asking us to think about what makes us smile. Encouragement for the journey all of us are on. Sunday, we closed the Charlottesville Camera Club exhibit, with thanks for the beauty that enlivened the church walls. Then Tuesday, EfM graduation, with a sacred circle of friends affirming their experience and each other.  

Now we prepare for the June events, with a full heart, knowing that what we do is affecting our community in a loving way. The Poetry Retreat we planned over the last few days is going to be such an opportunity for writers to gather and, together with their presence and the Mountain Light vistas, let their hearts sing.
